Campus Access

Beginning Monday, May 18, our campuses in North Mankato and Faribault will be open to current students two days a week. Limited staff and services will be available, so please call 507-389-7200 before coming to campus. 

Please use the following doors to access your classes and student service needs:

    7:00 am -5:00 pm, Monday and Tuesday. Closed Wednesday and Friday.
    • Door 1: Welcome Center  
    • Door 4: Computer Lab C-160
  • Faribault Campus (pdfFaribault Campus Map)
    7:00 am -5:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday. Closed Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
    • Door 4: Student Affairs Center and Computer Lab (by request)

Computers and Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available in parking lots on the North Mankato and Faribault Campuses.

Lot locations:

  • North Mankato Campus: park in the yellow lot near door 8 (west side)
  • Faribault Campus: near door 15 (south side)

Parking lot Wi-Fi supports the following connections:

  • SCC-Encrypted (used by all students and employees using your StarID and password)
  • Eduroam (Used by any non-SCC member of an educational system supporting the Eduroam technology)
  • SCC-Public (Used by guests of the college for basic internet access)

Computer Labs are open for students to access on both campuses Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM.

  • North Mankato: C-160, enter campus through Door 4 (pdfN. Mankato Campus Map)
  • Faribault: Available upon request. Enter campus through Door 4 and visit the Student Affairs Center for assistance. (pdfFaribault Campus Map)
  • Labs will allow a limited number of students at a time and will be first come, first serve. Labs will be set up to allow six feet between each student and hand sanitizer and wipes will be provided. We will not be managing time but we do ask that students limit their time to what they absolutely need to do and then free up the computer for another. Signs on each computer will state if it is available for use and if it has been cleaned

  • Telepsychiatry Services
    Telepsychiatry Services are continuing for the rest of the semester as our usual agreement with MNSU. Please work with your on-campus social worker to schedule an appointment.

On-Campus Services

  • North Mankato Welcome Center and Faribault Student Affairs Center
    SCC’s Welcome and Student Affairs centers will be staffed with limited services available Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM. We encourage you to contact us via phone or email before coming to campus.

  • Bookstores: Bookstores on both campuses will be closed starting Monday, March 30.  We are offering FREE SHIPPING on the bookstore website to help you get any materials you may still need. See our website for additional information about textbook buyback, summer ordering, and more!
  • Campus Cupboards:  While the campus is virtual, students can request food from their Campus Cupboard by completing the Food Request Form. The distribution will be Weekly on Thursdays while supplies last. All orders need to be received by Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. You will then receive information on how to pick up your order while adhering to social distancing guidelines. 
  • Student Café: The Café on the North Mankato campus is currently closed.
