Employment Outlook
An education in biology can be immensely interesting as you learn to ask questions, make observations, evaluate evidence and solve problems. Through your studies, you gain insight into how living things work, how they interact with one another and how they evolve. A biology degree also has the potential to steer you toward other exciting career areas like medicine, research, environmental/conservation management and education.  The Bureau of Labor and Statistics is projecting a faster than average growth rate for biologists with an anticipated 21% increase in the demand for biological scientists between now and 2018.
