The Associate of Fine Arts at South Central College is built upon a firm foundation of classic liberal arts coursework coupled with a specialized focus on the studio arts. Students will gain the knowledge, skills and insight necessary to prepare them for the next step in the pursuit of a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree at a four-year college or university.

In our collaborative learning environment, your experiential art classes at South Central will help you refine your talents in two-dimensional and three dimensional design, as well as provide a greater awareness of art in a historical and contemporary context.

You may also choose to benefit from an existing articulation agreement between South Central College and Minnesota State University, Mankato that ‘allows for transferability of credits toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
