SCC Graphic Communications Students Create Adult Coloring Book
Complimentary copies to be given out at 2016 Graphics Show on April 14
(March 30, 2016) - Nine of the books on Amazon’s current list of 100 bestsellers are adult coloring books. South Central College’s Graphic Communications students are making their contribution to the trend, designing and printing their own adult coloring book.
“Students have been involved in all aspects of this coloring book, from creating the designs, assisting with the press runs, and finishing the book through the final trimming stage,” said Gale Bigbee, SCC Graphic Communications Instructor.
The coloring book will make its premier at the 2016 Graphics Show: A World of Ideas, where complimentary copies will be provided to attendees. The show, which will be held on Thursday, April 14 from 5 - 7 pm, provides an opportunity for the South Central College Graphic Communications Class of 2016 to show off their work to the public. The event includes food, door prizes and a photo booth.
“Each year those who come to the show are impressed by the professionalism of our students and the caliber of their work,” said Kevin McLaughlin, SCC Graphic Communications Instructor.
