South Central College Accepting Applications to Nursing Programs
(June 3, 2015) - South Central College is now accepting applications to its Nursing programs twice a year - in January and June. The decision to add a second application window was made to support the current demand for nursing graduates by shortening the wait time between applying to the program and beginning nursing courses. The new application system allows qualified students, accepted from the June applicant pool, to begin their core nursing courses in January and the successful January applicants to begin their core nursing courses in August.
To apply, prospective students need to take the following steps:
- Ensure they have met all of the prerequisite requirements for the program.
- Register to take the ATI Entrance Exam, which will be offered on the college’s Faribault campus June 9 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and on the college’s North Mankato campus June 10 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and June 25 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
- Attend a Nursing Information Session, which will be held June 16 from 12:55 p.m. - 3 p.m. at the Faribault campus and June 17 from 8:55 - 11:00 a.m. on the North Mankato campus.
- Submit an Application by June 26, after the above steps are completed.
