Local Author to Speak about Newest Novel on September 21

Local author and South Central College instructor Kirstin Cronn-Mills will read from her recently released novel, Original Fake on Wednesday, September 21 from Noon – 12:50 p.m. The event will take place in Conference Center B on South Central College’s North Mankato Campus. It will also be aired via Live Interactive TV in Room C37 at the college’s Faribault Campus.

The young adult novel written by Cronn-Mills, Original Fake, chronicles the adventures of teen Frankie Neumann. A black sheep introvert in a family of performers, Frankie has his own artistic aspirations and when the opportunity of a lifetime comes along, he learns how the lines between art and real life can blur. Told partly through graphic panels illustrated by E. Eero Johnson, the novel is hilarious, heartfelt and fiercely original.

Kirstin Cronn-Mills is beginning her 18th year as an instructor at South Central College. In addition to her young adult novels, she has also written three books of young adult fiction and adult poetry.
