Event caps off week of learning at VEX Robotics Camp

High school students from around southern Minnesota will participate in their first VEX competition of the year on Friday, August 12 at South Central College (SCC). The 25 students have spent the week at SCC honing their skills at VEX Robotics Camp, which is put on by the Minnesota Center for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence.

Friday’s “VEX Robotics Starstruck Mini-Competition” is part of the year-long VEX Robotics series. VEX Starstruck is played on a 12’x12’ square field with teams utilizing their robots to hurl giant stars and cubes into zones to score points.
