New or Revised Academic and
Student Policy Procedure

  1.  New or revised policy/procedure drafted by ‘interested party’ is brought to the Policy Subcommittee of Academic Affairs and Standards Council (AASC).
  2. Draft brought to AASC for discussion by Subcommittee:

    a. If no further consultation needed, recommendation sent to SCC President

    b. If further consultation needed:

      i. E-mail sent to affected parties (faculty, administration) referring them to website for review of proposed new or revised policy/procedure

      ii. Two-week period allowed for comments

     c. Brought to Student Senate for comment as appropriate

  3. Comments reviewed by Policy Subcommittee

    a. Final version of policy/procedure going to AASC for recommendation posted to website

  4. Final version to AASC for recommendation
  5. SCC President makes final determination for approval
