Attention SCC Stakeholders

Submit your comments on institutional and instructional quality

SCC is seeking continued accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of College and Schools. A comprehensive site visit will occur February 1-3, 2010. In preparation for the visit, SCC has been engaged in a two-year self-study process that will culminate in a SCC Self-Study Report 2010. The report will be available on Friday, December 18 at http://southcentral.edu/accreditation2010/.

In addition to the preparations described above, stakeholders are invited to send comments about SCC directly to the Commission. Please refer to the official notice posted below for further information.

SCC INVITES THIRD-PARTY COMMENT
South Central College (SCC) is seeking comments from its students, business and educational partners, employees, and the public related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs in preparation for its 10-year re-accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

SCC will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit February 1-3, 2010. SCC has been accredited by the Commission since 1995. A team of representatives from the Commission will visit SCC and review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.

Students, business and educational partners, employees, and the public are invited to submit comments regarding the College:

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. The Commission cannot guarantee that comments received after the due date will be considered. Comments should include the name, address, and telephone number of the person providing the comments. Comments will not be treated as confidential.

All comments must be received by January 22, 2010.

Note: Individuals with a specific dispute or grievance with an institution should request the separate Policy on Complaints document from the Commission office. The Higher Learning Commission cannot settle disputes between institutions and individuals. Complaints will not be considered third party comment.
