Alumni Scholarships

SCC Alumni Scholarships are made possible by contributions to the Alumni Scholarship Fund.

The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the donated funds available on an annual basis.

To be eligible for a SCC Alumni Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
You must have attended SCC, or be an immediate family member who attended the community and technical college in Faribault or Mankato. Immediate family member is defined as mother, father, son, daughter, sibling, spouse, or grandparent.

Complete the SCC Scholarship Application Form Online or apply through the Student Affairs Office.

Scholarship Selection

A scholarship committee made up of members of the Alumni Advisory Committee, Alumni Director, Foundation Directors, faculty, staff, and community members, will review the scholarship applications. The committee will take special care in considering ALL areas of ability, talent, and circumstance.

Photo of Carrie Stucky "I received one of the 2005 Alumni Scholarships and want everyone to know what a great honor it is to be a recipient.  This has special meaning because my dad, Steve Stucky went to the college, graduating in 1970 in Sales and Marketing.  My dad had medical problems which required a lung transplant in 1992.  I was about 10 years old at the time and he referred to me as his “little nurse.”  Sadly, my father died in 1994, but before his death he encouraged me to pursue a career in the medical field.

I'll be completing my Intensive Care Paramedic degree this spring.  My instructors are amazing and encouraging.  Their real-life teaching experiences inspire me to learn more every day.   I plan to continue my education at SCC to become a Registered Nurse.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to the Alumni Scholarship Fund.  Receiving the scholarship is something I"ll never forget and my dad would be very proud of his little girl for pursuing the dream we shared for my future.”
