Experts to share the latest trends with area agribusiness producers

Today’s agricultural producers are adapting to a landscape that is constantly changing. They are expected to be economists, commodity specialists, financiers, brokers, mechanics, transportation logisticians, managers, and more. South Central College’s Foundation is providing a one-day professional development opportunity to assist area farm families with keeping a finger on the pulse of their dynamic industry.

South Central College Foundation is proud to announce the sixth annual New Tools for New Rules Agricultural Symposium. This regional professional development opportunity is designed for all agricultural producers. New Tools brings world-class speakers to the campus of South Central College for a day of cutting-edge presentations and discussion. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2014, from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM in the John Votca Conference Center.

Scheduled to appear are Dr. Michael Boehlje and Dr. David Kohl. Both are experts in their respective field and will introduce conference attendees to the ‘new rules’ facing 21st century ag producers. They will also be providing attendees with “new tools” to address these challenges, making them more productive and profitable farm managers.

Looking for ways to reconnect with SCC Again?

Posted on in Uncategorized

In Minnesota, it seems that January is a time when we all settle in at night and "hide" from the cold.  Why not start planning some opportunities to reconnect with Alumni and Friends of SCC.  Here are a few ideas, but we are confident other opportunities are planned - will you share?

Online Auction

In just a few days, the SCC Foundation will launch an online effort to raise dollars to support students and programs at South Central College.  Your assistance in bidding, donating auction packages, and spreading the word is great appreciated.  We had winning bidders from 10 states last year - do you think we can spread the word enough to go global?

www.biddingforgood.com/SCC - Auction runs Jan. 28-Feb. 5th.
