Looking for ways to reconnect with SCC Again?

Posted on in Uncategorized

In Minnesota, it seems that January is a time when we all settle in at night and "hide" from the cold.  Why not start planning some opportunities to reconnect with Alumni and Friends of SCC.  Here are a few ideas, but we are confident other opportunities are planned - will you share?

Online Auction

In just a few days, the SCC Foundation will launch an online effort to raise dollars to support students and programs at South Central College.  Your assistance in bidding, donating auction packages, and spreading the word is great appreciated.  We had winning bidders from 10 states last year - do you think we can spread the word enough to go global? - Auction runs Jan. 28-Feb. 5th.

Ag Symposium

This event is a great way to connect with students, industry leaders and numerous producers from Southern Minnesota as well as hear from some of the best economists in agriculture (Dr. David Kohl and Dr. Michael Boehlje).  To register and learn more information about this Feb. 19 event visit

The Spirit of Achievement

South Central College doesn't have a chance to celebrate the additional of a new president or its many successes vary often, but we are hoping to have a flury of Alumni in attendance at our April 24 event.  This evening event will be held at the Courtyard in Mankato, MN but is sure to leave you impressed and proud to be involved.

More details can be found at

Golf Classic - 20th Annual

It may not feel like golfing weather today in Minnesota, but plans are already underway for the 20th Annual SCC Golf Classic.  This event has sold out the past two years, so register early for this May 19, 2014 day of golfing for a great cause.
