SCC Wins at Collegiate DECA event
The Collegiate DECA State Career Development Conference was held February 25 and 26 at the Verizon Wireless Center in Mankato. 28 students from the Marketing, Business and Culinary programs at South Central College competed for a chance to attend the International Conference to be held in April in Washington D.C. They competed in a multitude of events, including Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Business Ethics, Retail and Restaurant Management, Marketing Management and Culinary Arts. Joy Boertje, a Culinary Graduate and current Business Management student, was elected to the State Leadership Team as the Southern Region Vice President for the 2014-15 school year.
