Robert (Bob) Scheidt joined SCC’s Center for Business and Industry on July 9, 2012, in the position of Fire and Rescue Consultant. Robert comes with thirty plus years of experience in the fire service to assist CBI with the recruitment, development and continuing education of fire professionals in the region. He has served the Glencoe Fire Department as a volunteer training officer, captain, assistant chief and as fire chief. Robert comes to SCC with numerous certifications and training experience in his field.
In addition to his fire service knowledge, Robert’s professional employment history as a safety and environmental trainer at Seneca Foods provides diverse safety and health expertise. As Safety and Environmental Trainer, Robert lead Emergency Response Teams in Hazardous Materials, developed safety policies and procedures, established facility Emergency Preparedness, instructed OSHA compliance standards, and served as Risk Management Coordinator.
“We are pleased to have someone with Robert’s expertise join us as CBI Fire and Rescue Consultant,” stated SCC’s Dean of Economic Development Marsha Danielson. “Robert will lead our efforts to assist Fire Departments, public safety organizations and businesses in meeting the need for skilled personnel through employee and organizational development.”
