Kluender honored by Mankato Area Council for Quality
For 21 years, The Mankato Area Council of Quality (MACQ) has recognized individuals and businesses for the quality of the work they do. On October 21st, CBI Business Consultant, Mark Kluender was honored with the MACQ Service Award for his service to quality in the Mankato area. Along with Kluender, awards were given to: KEYC-TV, JoAn Frank with Mankato City Center Hotel, Kathy Heine with Minnesota Elevator Inc. Jerky Snack Brands Inc, Keith Boleen with Frandsen Bank and Trust, Jerry's Body Shop, and Dan Behrens with Minnesota Elevator Inc.
South Central College EMS/Paramedic Program supports medical coverage at Marathon
On Saturday, October 23, Mankato hosted the 1st Annual Mankato Marathon with over 2,000 participants. Medical stations were provided by healthcare organizations in the Mankato area. In addition, the South Central College EMS/Paramedic program faculty/staff members Lisa Matzke and Eric Weller served on the Marathon Medical Committee and provided leadership and organization for the development, staffing and equipping of 12 aid stations plus the finish line medical station. Students from the paramedic program assisted at the 12 aid stations located throughout the race course by providing medical treatment.
