The CTL virtual Lodge that is. The online Lodge is not a physical place. It’s on online CTL collaboration and opportunity to develop your skills at any location of your choosing providing that it has a computer and an Internet connection. Sessions will be conducted via WebEx, an online meeting tool. The topics will be discussed live on WebEx and recorded for those who cannot attend. The Lodge is open: June 1 - June 11, 2010.
Faculty Lodge participants will choose which workshops and mini-courses fit their professional and time limitations, creating a summer learning package to best fit your needs.
So, what does an offering this rich in offerings and a flexible in schedule and location cost? Nothing. MnSCU Faculty can attend for free.
Here’s what you have to choose from:
For more information on these sessions and to register go to the www.mnscu.ctl.edu
Put the dates down in your calendar. Take some time in early June to get away from other obligations and school yourself up for the fall. Pick a workshop or mini-course from the list at the MnSCU CTL site that suits your needs. It’ll help keep your teaching skills brushed up and current. Now all you have to do is decide where to hide out to attend those sessions. I’m thinking anyplace with a good cup of coffee is an option.
