The South Central College Faribault Campus Foundation was founded in 1983 as the Faribault Area Vocational Technical Trust Association to promote community post-secondary education in the Faribault area. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization governed by a board of directors comprised of individuals from the area, including South Central College alumni.
Summary of the Year
Thanks to the generosity of area businesses and individuals, the Foundation provided over $90,000 in scholarships and program support to Faribault campus students in 2013-14.
Motivated by the theme “Driven to Dream: Scholarhships Pave the Way,” volunteer fund drive chair Garrett Regan, Manager of Faribault Transportation, led the Foundation’s 2013-14 annual fund drive to raise over $175,000. Funds are dispersed in the fiscal year after they are raised so for 2014-15, the Foundation has awarded $103,000 in scholarships for Faribault campus students.

Value Education: Local Scholarships, Local Opportunities
A Message from Foundation Board President, Barton Jackson
“Students enroll at South Central College because they value education, and South Central College is a great value, providing affordable education for students for 50 years. For over 30 years, the Foundation has actively supported SCC students and programs to help make sure local scholarships and local opportunities remain for future generations. Through the generosity of area businesses and individuals, including proud SCC alumni, this year alone the Foundation awarded scholarships to 116 students for their initiative and academic achievements, to help them complete a certificate, diploma or degree right here, close to home.
On behalf of the Foundation Board of Directors and our team of dedicated volunteers, please join each of us in supporting the annual fund drive with your tax deductible donation to help students.”

"Having a scholarship gives you hope to continue school and when I was given this opportunity, I pushed myself to do more and to study more. I'm on my way to being someone I never imagined being."
"I'm glad to know that all my efforts to keep good grades has rewarded me. My SCC Academic Scholarship means a lot to me and financially it's going to be a very big help."
