Mankato Clinic Foundation awards grant to the South Central College North Mankato Foundation
The Mankato Clinic Foundation recently awarded $10,000 to South Central College’s (SCC) North Mankato Foundation to be used for scholarships for students enrolled in healthcare programs at SCC.
The Mankato Clinic Foundation provides resources to organizations and endeavors that effectively promote and improve community health and wellness. The primary focus of the Foundation is to support the health and well-being of the community by supporting projects and programs, such as education and scholarships initiatives, which are focused on healthcare, health education and wellness.
“We are fortunate to live in a region where education has always been important, but the commitment of our community to the scholarship program is another great example of the support that exists for our region’s future talent,” said Tami Reuter, Executive Director of the SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation. “We are grateful for the Mankato Clinic’s belief in our students’ unlimited potential. The students’ energy, enthusiasm and passion for learning, coupled with relevant, engaged faculty and the committed leadership of our donors makes the college’s scholarship program possible.”
South Central College’s President, Keith Stover, praised the efforts of the Foundation. “South Central College is grateful for the development of partnerships with business/industry and individuals that make these scholarships possible,” explains Stover. “These scholarships are necessary to offset the rising cost of tuition, books and fees and to help us acknowledge the scholarly work of our SCC students.”
South Central College is a comprehensive community and technical college and a proud member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. SCC is an equal opportunity employer/educator.
