Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We are proud of the accomplishments made during the 2011-12 year, and we appreciate everyone involved in the North Mankato Campus Foundation’s success!

F – Fore! Our last fundraising event of the fiscal year is our 18th Annual Golf Classic at the Mankato Golf Club on May 21. It’s not too late to register yourself or a team to golf. New this year – our auction items will be available for online bidding prior to the event. Check out the auction beginning May 7th at www.biddingforgood.com/scc.

O – Operations for the Foundation are overseen by an amazing group of 25 board members. Their strategic work leads the focus of the Foundation, and they will engage in the first-annual board strategic planning session on May 2.

U – Unique experiences for students in a wide variety of technical programs were created with Mankato Motor Company’s donation of a 2012 Chevy Cruze. Follow the Cruze as it makes visits to various high schools and parades this summer at http://cruze.southcentral.edu.

N – New events included a first-ever Alumni Breakfast held on April 20th and a Health Symposium that will be held on May 17th. (http: southcentraledu.com/areweready).

D – Dollars were raised for scholarships, programs and faculty development. Right Skills Now was one new initiative that involved raising dollars for all three of the Foundation’s focuses this year.

A – Ag Symposium engaged producers, students and industry leaders as they listened to presentations for numerous high-level speakers. This year’s event raised a record amount of dollars for scholarships and programs.

T – Terrific volunteers make all of the work of the Foundation possible and exciting. Volunteers have been planning events, promoting the Foundation, fundraising, reviewing scholarship applications and so much more – many thanks to each of you.

I – Internal Staff/Faculty Campaign also accomplished its MISSION with special agents (thank you again special agents). Their efforts created such excitement around campus, raising dollars for scholarships that we set a new record in employee participation!

O – Online Auction did great things, as well. The event doubled the number of bidders, doubled the dollars raised and doubled the impact with SCC’s Faribault Campus Foundation joining in our efforts this year.

N – New Foundation board members included Les Alternburg (Kato Engineering), Angie Bastian (Angie’s Artisan Treats), Kevin Burns (Mayo Clinic Health System), Andy Hatlestad (North Central International), Jodie Hermer (AgStar), John Kapsner (Associated Finishing Incorporated) and JoRae Galli Storm (Dairy Queen/Pita Pit).

Save the date for the 2012 scholarship reception – Friday, September 7 at 11:30 a.m.
More details to come with invitations in August.
