Brad J. Schloesser

Photo of BradBrad Schloesser has taught agribusiness education for 22 years, of which the last 14 years have involved teaching and learning at South Central College.

Before working with students at the Post Secondary level in the agriculture industry, Brad was a high school agri-science educator and FFA advisor in southern Minnesota.

Brad studied agricultural education at the University of Minnesota and completed a Master of Science degree at Montana State University in animal science, with a focus on ruminant nutrition.  He is a life-long learner, hasn't left school since kindergarten except for many experiences in the agribusiness and production setting.

Teaching students in marketing, economics, records management and a variety of livestock production related courses consumes a major portion of Brad's teaching schedule.  Also, assisting students in the ag education track at South Central is a focus Brad maintains.

Learning about agriculture in parts of the world outside of the U.S. has been a great opportunity that has enhanced Brad’s teaching over the past decade.  Exploring places like state run farms in Russia, India’s sacred cows and milk processing in ISO9001 facilities and exploring aquaculture in Honduras are but a few of the added features that is shared in a class with this SCC faculty member.
