Faculty Spotlight - Computer Careers

Joel Roggenkamp
Joel Roggenkamp
Joel has 15 years industry experience in a variety of roles: software tester, business analyst, lead software engineer, and independant consultant. With many years of additonal teaching experience, Joel's focus is in back end web development with modern PHP frameworks. In his free time, Joel also enjoys playing the mandolin and flying radio controlled airplanes.
Education:B.S. Business Computer Information Systems, St. Cloud State University, M.Ed. Business and Industry Education, University of Minnesota
John Burns
John Burns
In addition to teaching full time, John oversees SCC’s Testing Center, which administers industry certification exams. He also does consulting work and faculty internships with local businesses that help keep him aware of local employer needs.
Education:BS, Minnesota State University, Mankato, Masters Certificate in Information Insurance from the University of Illinois. John is CompTIA certified in A+ and Network +, has passed the CISSP exam, and holds Microsoft and Cisco certifications.
