South Central College's Liberal Arts & Sciences programs provide a rich, comprehensive foundation for lifelong learning. With varying paths available, you’ll be able to select the direction you want to go. Choose from an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with far-reaching educational disciplines or target your pursuits more specifically with an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree in Visual Arts. Once earned, either associate degree is transferable to a 4-year university, allowing you to further your education in an area of your choosing. Note: Students enrolled in SCC's technical and professional career programs also benefit from the Liberal Arts and Sciences courses that are required for their own individual program areas.

“As a first generation college student, choosing the right college was extremely important. Attending South Central College was the best experience one could ask for. The transition from high school to college was smooth because of faculty members at South Central who have spent their time and energy to make sure that we, as students, are able to get the most out of our college education.” ~ Hamdi Abdi
