The holidays are a great time for everyone to show off their culinary skills. In order to prepare for the upcoming festivities, Hy-Vee Chef Edi Cucurullo and South Central College’s culinary arts students are teaming up for a special holiday sampling on Friday, December 8, from 3 - 7 p.m. at the Mankato hilltop Hy-Vee. The event, called South Central Night at Hy-Vee, is free and open to the public.

Attendees can stop by the event any time to sample appetizers and sweets, learn about meal plans, take home recipes and pick up the necessary items to create these culinary masterpieces this holiday season. Information about South Central College’s culinary arts program will also be available at the event.

Chef Michael Broughton, culinary instructor at South Central College said, “We like to provide our students with as many real-world culinary experiences as possible, and we are grateful to Hy-Vee for providing this opportunity and for their support of our program by hosting South Central College Night at Hy-Vee.”
