South Central College’s North Mankato Campus Foundation will award $280,000 in scholarships at the college’s annual ceremony today, August 25 from 12:20 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the John A. Votca Conference Center on South Central College’s North Mankato Campus. Preceding the ceremony, scholarship donors and recipients will have lunch with faculty from their respective academic departments throughout the campus.   

Scholarships are funded by businesses and individuals throughout the region. “SCC students are very fortunate to receive such overwhelming support from our community each year,” stated Erin Aanenson, Executive Director of the South Central College North Mankato Campus Foundation.

Four of this year’s recipients will receive full tuition Presidential Scholarships, funded by the Glen A. Taylor Foundation. To qualify, students must have maintained a 3.75 or greater GPA and exhibit strong leadership skills and community involvement. This year’s Presidential Scholars are Jason Carlson of Morgan, Minn., Kaden Donnay of Glencoe, Minn., Taylor Bunting of West Brook, Minn. and Sara Mead of Garden City, Minn.
