North Mankato Campus Foundation presenting 316 awards totaling $275,000

South Central College’s North Mankato Campus Foundation will award $275,000 in scholarships at the college’s annual ceremony today, August 26 from 12:20 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the John A. Votca Conference Center on South Central College’s North Mankato Campus. Preceding the ceremony, scholarship donors and recipients will have lunch from 11:20 a.m.-12:20 p.m. with faculty from their respective academic departments throughout the campus.   

Scholarships are funded by businesses and individuals throughout the region. “We are grateful for the generous support our students receive from the community,” says Tami Reuter, Executive Director of the South Central College North Mankato Campus Foundation.

Two of the 2016 recipients will be honored with full tuition two-year Presidential Scholarships, funded by the Glen A. Taylor Foundation. To qualify, students must have maintained a 3.75 or greater GPA and exhibit strong leadership skills and community involvement. This year’s Presidential Scholars are Jason Carlson of Morgan, Minn. and Kaden Donnay of Glencoe, Minn.
