- Assemble a beef cattle production management guide
- Analyze the beef market for feeder, backgrounded cattle, finished cattle, breeding and dairy beef animals
- Develop a plan for managing the manure resources for a beef operation
- Identify feed resources that will be cost effective in beef production
- Acknowledge beef industry issues
- Evaluate written beef industry reports and publications
- Acquaint self on preparation and proper handling of beef as a finished food product
- Explore BQA (Beef Quality Assurance) industry standards
- Network with beef industry professionals
