| Description | This course provides an in-depth examination of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) within the automotive service and repair sector. Students will learn how to diagnose, service, and calibrate ADAS-related components in accordance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) procedures and ASE Education Foundation standards. Emphasis is placed on safe operation, accurate calibration, use of diagnostic equipment, and documentation practices required in professional automotive service environments. (Prerequisite: None) |

Course Competencies
- Identify major ADAS systems, associated sensors, and their functions.
- Interpret manufacturer service information, including calibration and reinitialization requirements.
- Conduct ADAS-related diagnostic procedures using either OEM or aftermarket scan tools depending on availability.
- Perform safe handling, alignment, and replacement of ADAS sensors, cameras, and related components.
- Evaluate vehicle conditions following service or collision events to determine ADAS recalibration needs.
- Document diagnostic results and calibration procedures according to ASE and OEM standards.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers or supervisors in a professional format.
