Course Competencies

  1. Demonstrate the ability to conduct a comprehensive physical assessment of the respiratory system.
  2. Identify common respiratory disease, including their pathophysiology, signs and symptoms.
  3. Interpret diagnostic results relevant to respiratory diseases, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis.
  4. Recognize non-respiratory conditions that can affect respiratory function.
  5. Apply appropriate respiratory interventions based on physical assessment findings.
  6. Develop patient education strategies for managing chronic respiratory diseases and promoting self-care.
