Students are required to partner with an approved vineyard to participate in the required field experience portion of the course which will serve as work experience for those seeking employment in commercial viticulture. (Prerequisites: VITI 1111 or instructor permission). |

- Explain irrigation and water management.
- Summarize procedures involved in the proper management of shoot density based on varieties and climate.
- Implement a vine fertility program.
- Choose a spring pest and disease management strategy.
- Explain canopy micro climate and its impact on berry composition and fruit quality.
- Prepare a summer pest and disease management strategy.
