Institutional Core Competencies

- Design a blueprint to build a project to close tolerances.
- Apply safety concept while welding.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds.
- Apply quality concepts to the weldments.
- Display desirable employability skills.
- Demonstrate proper Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) techniques.
- Demonstrate proper cutting techniques.
- Demonstrate proper Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) techniques.
- Demonstrate proper Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) techniques.
- Demonstrate proper brazing techniques.
- Prepare for the American Welding Society certification.
- Demonstrate proper fabrication techniques.
