As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will perform tasks that help patients, physicians, nursing staff, and other departments run smoothly in health facilities such as hospitals, clinics and nursing homes.  You will also play a vital role in maintaining communications between the health care team and the patient. South Central College’s Health Unit Coordinator program can be completed in one semester and offers you a pathway to advance your academic career in other medical fields.
