Student Organizations and Clubs
As a member of a student organization or club, you will have the opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills as well as practical experience working with others. Student clubs and organizations are independently operated and are not official entities of South Central College. While the college supports student involvement, these groups are student-led and governed.
Student Senate
South Central College has two Student Senates for the Faribault and North Mankato Campuses that work together to:
- Act as the voice of the student body to the college
- Hear general concerns of the students
- Facilitate student activities and student life
- Organize, provide, encourage, and promote student activities within the college
- Represent the student body with the Statewide Student Association (LeadMN)
- Coordinate with and support the Recognized Student Organizations
- Listen to conflicts brought from the Student Body, Faculty, Staff and Administration and present them to the Student Life Coordinator and the appropriate department leadership

Student Learning Community

SCC Student Life offers expanded student leadership opportunities lead by staff and other student leaders. Students will complete leadership activities aimed at developing personal and professional skills. The program will consist of active learning for students to identify their strengths and skills. This program will be free for all students. Students who complete the program will receive a custom leadership certificate from SCC Student Life and a special pin to wear at graduation. Fitness Centers
At South Central College, our Fitness Centers offer everything you need to stay active and maintain your well-being. With access to free weights, cardio equipment like treadmills and ellipticals, and tools like foam rollers and stretching bands, you can build a fitness routine that fits your goals. Whether you're working on strength, endurance, or just looking for a healthy break between classes, our centers are here to support your fitness journey at both campus locations (N. Mankato: B195 and Faribault: C42).
