• Complete a FAFSA at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa and have it sent to SCC by entering 005537 for the Federal School Code
  • Check eServices to see if additional information is needed to complete your financial aid file at SCC; submit required paperwork if needed
  • View Financial Aid Offer on eServices
  • Determine grant (money that does not have to be paid back) amount at your credit level by viewing ‘Awards by Credit Level’ on eServices
  • Compare the grant amount, if any, to the amount you owe in Bills and Payment on eServices
  • Decide if you need to borrow a Student Loan (a loan needs to be paid back), if so, request the loan through eServices and complete all the steps including the pre-requirements
  • Sign up for Direct Deposit on eServices if your financial aid (grants and/or loans) will be greater than your bill
  • If you don't sign up for Direct Deposit, make sure the permanent mailing address showing in ‘Account Management’ on eServices is correct
  • Continue to check eServices throughout each term to see if there have been any changes to your financial aid or your bill

Spring Semester: January 12, 2026 - May 13, 2026

  • December 8- January 23 - Bookstore charging allowed for financial aid applicants
  • January 28 - Financial aid applies to student accounts
  • January 30 - Financial aid disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • February 11 - Delayed loan applies to student accounts
  • February 14 - Delayed loan disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • February 25- Late fees assessed on outstanding accounts not paid by February 24
  • March 18 - Second half of spring only loan applies to student accounts
  • March 19 - Second half of spring only loan disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • April 29 - Last day to submit Direct Loan request for spring semester
  • May 13 - A valid FAFSA must be received by SCC by this date for spring term financial aid processing if not enrolled for summer term 2026
  • May 27 - Financial aid paperwork must be submitted by this date for spring term processing if not enrolled for summer term 2026

Summer Semester: June 1, 2026 – July 24, 2026

  • June 10 - Financial aid applies to student accounts
  • June 12 – Financial aid disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • June 30 - Delayed loan applies to student accounts
  • July 1 - Second half of summer only loan applies to student accounts
  • July 2 - Delayed loan and second half of summer loan disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • July 10 - Last day to submit Direct Loan request for summer semester
  • July 24 – a valid FAFSA must be received by SCC by this date for summer term processing
  • July 31 – Financial aid paperwork for summer term must be submitted by this date

Fall Semester: August 25, 2025 - December 17, 2025

  • July 15 - Bill information available on eServices in Bills and Payment
  • July - Official Financial Aid Offers available on eServices
  • August 1 - September 5 - Bookstore charging allowed for financial aid applicants
  • September 10 - Financial aid applies to student accounts
  • September 12 - Financial aid disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • September 24 - Delayed loan applies to student accounts
  • September 25 - Delayed loan disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • October 7 - Late fees assessed on outstanding accounts not paid by October 6, hold placed on accounts which prevents future enrollment
  • October 22 - Second half of fall only loan applies to student accounts
  • October 23 - Second half of fall only loan disburses to students (direct deposits and checks mailed)
  • December 3 - Last day to submit Direct Loan request for fall semester
  • December 17 - a valid FAFSA must be received by SCC by this date for fall term processing if not enrolled for spring term 2026
  • January 16 - Financial aid paperwork must be submitted by this date for fall term processing if not enrolled for spring term 2026
