If you are a current high school senior about to graduate or have previously obtained a high school diploma or GED please see the admissions requirement below. When you apply to SCC, the Admissions Office is there to guide you through the entire process.

Application Timeline:

South Central College encourages completion of the application process early to assure the best course availability.

  • Summer Term -  May 20
  • Fall Semester - August 15
  • Spring Semester - December 20

Admissions Checklist:

  • Submit to SCC a completed application by using our Online Application or print out an pdfApplication Form and send in the completed form to the college.
  • Submit an official high school transcript (Domestic or Foreign) or official GED transcript. Transcripts must be sent directly to SCC without being opened.
  • Submit an official college transcript if you have taken PSEO or Concurrent Enrollment courses in high school. SCC may be able to obtain your official transcripts from any of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities at no charge to you. 
  • Submit any earned Articulated College Credit which can be obtained from the www.ctecreditmn.com website.
  • Learn what you’ll need to do after you are accepted on the “Next Steps after Admission" page.

Some programs and courses fill up early, so it is recommended that you complete the admissions and registration process early.  A limited number of SCC programs have a separate program application process.  So please review the web pages for your program for additional information.

General Education and Transfer Option Programs

If you complete a Transfer Pathways program at South Central College and are admitted to a Minnesota State university, you will be guaranteed junior status and all 60 associate degree credits will count toward the related bachelor’s degree. Students must meet program admission requirements at the four year institution.  Talk with an SCC advisor for details.
