Students who enroll in classes at South Central College but will not complete a degree are called visiting students.   This includes Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, and students who enroll in courses for enrichment purposes.

Visiting students do not need to apply for admission to the college.

Visiting students are allowed to enroll in classes on a different schedule than degree-seeking students. Please see our registration dates page for information on registration dates for visiting students.

Visiting students must also meet the necessary course prerequisites to be eligible for registration. If you are unable to register and believe you have met the prerequisite(s) please complete our Prerequisite Evaluation Form. You will get a response to the form via email.

Visiting students are encouraged to register and pay for classes via eServices. In order to register via eServices you will need a StarID and password.

  • If you have previously applied to or attended another MinnState college or university, your StarID will remain the same.
    • If you are unable to login to eServices with your StarID or if you forgot your StarID and/or password, please go to https://starid.minnstate.edu.
