Orientation and Onboarding for SCC FacultyAre you looking to grow your skills as a community college instructor? Consider signing up for the Orientation and Onboarding (O2) course offered through CTLE. Despite its title, this course is really meant for everybody: new faculty, “new-ish” faculty, and seasoned faculty. Consisting of nine, self-paced, online modules, you are welcome to complete the entire course (recommended for those new to SCC and/or to teaching) or just the modules in which you’re interested. 
 
These nine modules include topics such as:
  • Policies specific to SCC
  • Step-by-step guide to creating a CCO and syllabus
  • Course alignment
  • Culturally responsive teaching practices
  • Student assessment
  • Educational technology
  • Writing course outcomes
  • Backward Design
