Dental Assisting Program

Make People Smile with Great Dental Care
Dental Assisting is a licensed dental profession dedicated to the oral health care for patients of all ages. As a vital member of the dental team, you are involved with assisting the dentist and the hygienist along with independently performing procedures. The SCC program* offers you the opportunity to learn in a real word simulation lab and perform many professional tasks requiring interpersonal and technical skills.
*SCC’s Dental Assisting program meets the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation Standard for Dental Assisting. In the program you will complete foundational courses at the North Mankato campus, continue clinical courses at Minnesota State University, Mankato as part of a cooperative arrangement with their Dental Hygiene program and complete two internship rotations within the dental community. Once you successfully complete the program and the written board exams, you will be licensed through the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry.
