In 2017, SCC received $9.6 million in bonding funding from the Minnesota state legislature to renovate South Central College’s North Mankato Campus. We began planning for the project in 2018 and along the way have received additional financial support from industry partners, whose generous gifts will allow us to make even more facility improvements. Construction began in June 2019 and was completed in spring 2020, with students coming back this fall to a transformed campus. We are excited for the many benefits this will bring to our students.
Renovation 2020 News
September 8, 2020 - South Central College officially commemorates the completion of the Renovation with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony attended by college leaders, area legislators, Minnesota State system officials, city and community representatives and contractors. Given the current circumstance, we were able to only have 25 individuals at this event, who wore face masks except when speaking and kept a six foot social distance except for a quick photo. We look forward to having a huge celebration with all our employees, students and community members at a later date when it is possible. In the meantime, please see the following:
