South Central College proudly supports our veteran and active-duty military students. We recognize the value of the many foundational training and leadership experiences provided by the United States Army, National Guard, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.

SCC awards applicable credit for validated military service training, occupations, experience, or coursework in accordance with Minnesota Statutes §197.775, Subdivision 2, Recognition of Courses. We utilize the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Forces which recommends college credit for formal courses offered by all branches of the military and for military occupations. These recommendations appear on the service member’s Joint Services Transcript (JST). Boot camp, basic training, officer training school, and other courses offered by the military are often eligible for college credit as well.
