Prerequisites

Many courses at SCC have a requirement that a course or courses be completed before registering. All course descriptions in the College Catalog list any prerequisite requirements.

For example: in order to take Biology 240 - Pathophysiology, a student must first successfully complete Biology 230 - Human Physiology. Refer to the current college catalog for specific course prerequisites.

College Readiness

All general education courses offered at SCC require the student to have college level skill levels in reading, writing, and math. The college catalog lists the minimum Assessment Test Score or the College Readiness course required in order to register for a specific general education course.

Transporation Programs

The U.S. Department of Labor estimates the auto industry will have to fill 35,000 technician jobs each year through the end of the decade to keep up with demand. With increasing automobile computer sophistication, receiving training from a certified program is a must.
