Letter grades will be assigned to each course as an evaluation of student performance. In addition, the following weighted system will be used to determine a student's Grade Point Average (GPA).

A = 4.00
A- = 3.66
B+ = 3.33
B = 3.00
B- = 2.66
C+ = 2.33
C = 2.00
C- = 1.66
D+ = 1.33
D = 1.00
D- = 0.66
F = 0

AU = AUDIT
CR = TEST-OUT
I = INCOMPLETE
P = PASS
W = WITHDRAW
Z = NO GRADE ASSIGNED
EX = TALK TO REGISTRAR

GPA Calculation Formula: Must do both steps listed below for all SCC coursework to determine cumulative GPA. #GPA Credits x # Points = GPA Points

Example:
Received a C+ in a 3 credit class: 3 x 2.33 = 6.99 GPA Points
Received a B in a 2 credit class: 2 x 3.0 = 6.0 GPA Points
TOTAL GPA Points: 6.99 + 6.0 = 12.99
GPA Points (divided by) GPA Credits = GPA

Example: 12.99 GPA Points divided by 5 credits = 2.59 GPA

Transporation Programs

The U.S. Department of Labor estimates the auto industry will have to fill 35,000 technician jobs each year through the end of the decade to keep up with demand. With increasing automobile computer sophistication, receiving training from a certified program is a must.
